This includes a major effort on our part, to be more involved in a full time traveling music ministry. For this reason, Christy and I have decided to restructure our ministry under the name of "The Weston Hinson Group". We are currently petitioning the Lord to supply a third singer for our group, as we embark on this new direction; we believe God has genuinely laid upon our hearts! We realize that it will not be an easy journey but we are firm in our conviction to follow God with every fiber of our being. We know that as He leads, so shall He make the way! If you would like to help further this undertaking, we would ask that you place our name on your personal prayer list, as we are requesting God to open new and essential doors for this fresh undertaking in ministry! In addition, any and all love gifts or donations towards this new endeavor, will be greatly appreciated!

We Love You All!
Weston & Christy Hinson

His Grace Is Still Amazing!

I heard one of the most humbling statements from a preacher at Kaufman County Christian Center the other night..."When is the last time we stopped in our lives just to thank God for His grace in saving us." Instead of asking God for the provision to take care of bills and whining about my situations...I haven't taken the time to really just thank Him for loving me a sinner like me. It makes me weep everytime I hear it because it makes me realize how much we take for granted the Grace of God...maybe it's just me...I don't know, but to think at all the wonderful things in this world and even about God, His Grace is still Amazing!

Weston Hinson

Challenge To All Believers

I am a firm believer in putting on the Whole Armor of God! We had a group meeting last night, and this was brought up during our discussions. We had church and God really dealt with us about a lot of things. A lot of Christians in the world today have become very complacent, and lethargic in their walk with God. The enemy doesn't really have to destroy us to make us irrelevant...all he has to do is get us to become stagnant and grow stale. A Christian who isn't moving forward is a Christian who is ineffective. I am convinced that the world is about to see a revival of this slumbering giant that is the Army of God. We are going to march into the enemy's camp and take everything that he stole from us. We will boldly proclaim, "Give me my job back! Give me my marriage back! Give me my nation back! Give me my children back! Give me my joy back! Give me my peace back! Give me my sanity back! Give me my health back!" Always remember that we are not alone when we do the work of the Lord.

When we put on the whole armor of God, we must start with protecting our head! Put on the helmet of Salvation. Paul tells us in Romans 12:2 that we are to renew our minds in the Word of God so that we will be understand the good, pleasing, and complete purpose of God. It is important to know that when we get saved, our minds don't get saved...so we have to continually guard our thoughts with the knowledge of salvation, and renew that understanding each day, as it will enable us to fight effectively against the wiles of the enemy. For as the head goes, so does the body!

Then we must put on the breastplate of Righteousness! Oh how important it is to keep ourselves righteous! Righteousness simply means to be in right standing or relationship with God. To be morally upright: without guilt or sin! The breastplate is to protect the core of the warrior. So that when he goes in to battle, he can know that he is protected, and nothing can penetrate the part of him that everything else stems from. Often times, the breastplate carried the insignia of the nation or entity the soldier fought for. Being in right standing with God allows us to go in to battle knowing that nothing can penetrate our core, our spirit, because we are protected by the blood of Jesus, and everyone that can see us may observe who we fight for.

Holding our armor up is the belt of Truth! The belt is the foundation upon which the entire suit of armor is held up. Paul is telling us that we must build our lives around the truth of God's Word. The belt in the Roman suit of armor, as well as many other cultures, served as the foundation on which the sword, dagger and metal apron were attached. In other words, all your weapons are fastened to the Truth of God's holy word, and that if you don't gird your waist with truth, you will have nothing to support your attack against your enemy. When we are secure in His truth, then no plots of deception can throw us off course, and we can use whatever we need to combat the lies of the devil.

We must be ready with the good news of peace as the shoes on our feet. Everywhere we go, the Gospel of Jesus has to carry us to our destination. It must be what we stand on as our comfort, and our protection to walk on life's rough terrain. When we depart from somewhere, we must leave a print of His message of Hope and Love for all to see.

Take up the Shield of Faith! Without Faith, it is impossible to please God. Not faith in the things that God can do, but simple, unadulterated faith IN God. We find ourselves, nearly every day, under a bombardment of attacks that seem to come at us from every angle, and many times we don't know from where they originate. There is no clear enemy in sight, and there is certainly not a perceivable method to combat it, so what can we do when we've done all we can to stand, and it seems all hope is lost...we just stand...with the shield of Faith in hand. With our unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior, we can stand strong knowing that God will see us through.

Lastly, but most assuredly not the least of these, we have the Sword of the Spirit. It is our offensive stand, to be able have the power to be more than a conquerer. We must never let our sword leave our reach. It should be so close to us that we are able to draw it at a moments notice. When all hell is breaking loose, and you feel an attack on every side, the Word of God is what you use to cut through the ranks of your enemy. It is quick, animated, and full of living power, as Hebrews 4:12 declares, and it is sharper than any two edged sword. It is able to divide all the way down to the thoughts and intents of the heart. It exposes us for who we really are. It is able to separate true holiness from religious rhetoric...truth from fiction. It will free anyone from any bondage, and set captives free. Without the Sword of the Spirit, God's Word, we are nothing but an sitting duck, waiting for the enemy to take us down. Without. this key weapon, the enemy can find the chink in your armor. You MUST have a way to fight him.

So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Gal 6:9 NLT.

I love what I find in the Matthew Henry Concise Commentary:

GALATIONS 6:6-11 Many excuse themselves from the work of religion, though they may make a show, and profess it. They may impose upon others, yet they deceive themselves if they think to impose upon God, who knows their hearts as well as actions; and as he cannot be deceived, so he will not be mocked. Our present time is seed time; in the other world we shall reap as we sow now. As there are two sorts of sowing, one to the flesh, and the other to the Spirit, so will the reckoning be hereafter. Those who live a carnal, sensual life, must expect no other fruit from such a course than misery and ruin. But those who, under the guidance and influences of the Holy Spirit, live a life of faith in Christ, and abound in Christian graces, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. We are all very apt to tire in duty, particularly in doing good. This we should carefully watch and guard against. Only to perseverance in well-doing is the reward promised. Here is an exhortation to all to do good in their places. We should take care to do good in our life-time, and make this the business of our lives. Especially when fresh occasions offer, and as far as our power reaches.

So I challenge Christians...LETS WAKE UP FROM THE SLUMBER THAT SO EASILY BEFALLS US, and lets get back to doing the work of the Lord, and stop worrying so much about our discomfort in this world! For this world is only temporary, but our just reward, or lack thereof, is what awaits our arrival in Heaven! God Bless you all, and know that I love you!

 - Weston Hinson
